Erin Patrick

Founder& Co-owner

Erin graduated from the University of Georgia in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science (Go Dawgs!). In 2002, she went on to complete a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Brenau University. Her passion, experiences and commitment to the pediatric therapy arena led her to founding Building Blocks Pediatrics in 2008.

Erin has worked in various settings including, hospitals both inpatient and outpatient, schools, home health and private practice. Erin has experience working with children of all ages and abilities including, sensory processing disorders, neurological and genetic disorders, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, hypotonicity, developmental delays and fine motor/visual motor delays.

Erin has training in numerous areas including neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT), sensory integration, and therapeutic listening.

Erin is a current member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and is a licensed and registered Occupational Therapist in the state of Georgia.

Dino Bylos

Dino joined Building Blocks Pediatrics LLC as a partner after witnessing the positive impact Erin and her team of therapists had made in the community. 

He was inspired to be a part of such a meaningful endeavor, and the credit goes to Erin and her team whose dedication and commitment led Dino to take this step. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) by trade, Dino brings a wealth of experience from his tenure at Deloitte and Barclays Bank, as well as his ventures in food, hospitality, and software industries. At Building Blocks Pediatrics, he oversees day-to-day operations, finding joy in interactions with the little ones who often drop by his office to say hello.

Residing in Marietta, GA, Dino shares his home with his wife Kathy, their Boston Terrier Vasili, and their three adult children. With both of his twins graduating from Georgia Tech, Dino proudly considers himself a lifelong Yellow Jacket. Outside of work, he indulges in his passions for travel, gastronomy, fitness, and avidly supports Georgia-based sports teams.

Erin is a licensed Occupational Therapist with a master's degree and holds a bachelor's in Family and Child Sciences with a focus on Developmental Disabilities from Florida State University.

Erin attained her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Florida Gulf Coast University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Upon relocating to Atlanta, she gained experience at a private pediatric clinic, specializing in developmental delay, Autism Spectrum Disorder, motor disorders, cognitive disabilities, genetic disorders, and sensory processing. 

Erin is also certified in Aquatic Occupational Therapy through ATRI.Outside of work, she cherishes time with loved ones, exploring new eateries, and hiking with her dog, Obie, in North Georgia.

Rebecca Ahrens, MS, OTR/L

Rebecca is a licensed Master’s level Occupational Therapist, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Youth Development Programs from Clemson University.

Rebecca joins the BBP team after completing her fieldwork experience here, bringing excitement and a passion for pediatric therapy. During her graduate program, she conducted research on parent-child relationships' impact on development and led community playgroups in collaboration with Early Intervention services in Southwest Florida. 

With prior experience as a preschool teacher, she has worked with children of various ages and abilities, including those with ADHD, autism, Down Syndrome, and motor delays. Rebecca loves spending time with loved ones, playing with her puppy, indulging in reading, and discovering new spots around Atlanta.

Sarah Gingrich, MHS, OTR/L

Sarah, a board-certified OT with a master's degree, found her passion for OT through diverse volunteer and study-abroad experiences aiding individuals with disabilities, both children and adults, globally and locally.

Sarah, who returned to Building Blocks in 2021 after working as an OT in Charlotte, NC, graduated summa cum laude from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and earned a master’s degree in occupational therapy from the Medical College of Georgia.

With extensive clinical experience in pediatric and adult orthopedic and neurological conditions, Sarah specializes in pediatric hemiplegia treatment and constraint-induced movement therapy. She employs diverse modalities such as Handwriting Without Tears and sensory integration, and has advanced training in feeding approaches like the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach.

Sarah's passion for helping children achieve their potential extends beyond therapy as she serves as Vice President of Little Flower Catholic Therapy Missions, providing caregiver training and wheelchair donations in at-risk countries. In her leisure time, she indulges in painting, dance, and cooking.

Arden Mobley Hennessy, MHS, OTR/L

Arden, a registered and licensed Master’s level Occupational Therapist, earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Human Development and Family Science from the University of Georgia.

During her time at the University of Georgia, Arden volunteered with Young Life and Extra Special People, as well as organizations like Children’s Miracle Network and Relay for Life. She interned at Camp Twin Lakes, assisting children with various medical conditions and those in foster care.

Arden pursued her Master’s of Health Science in Occupational Therapy at Augusta University, where she served on the student government board and volunteered with Steps of Grace, teaching ballet to children with disabilities. With clinical experience in orthopedic and neurological settings in Atlanta and Chattanooga, Arden has worked with children with a wide range of conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, and genetic disorders.

Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering with her church, traveling, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.

After completing her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Florida Gulf Coast University, Rachel moved to Atlanta from Florida, where she worked as a pediatric outpatient OT. 

She brings experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, ADHD, genetic disorders, sensory processing disorder, and motor processing delays. 

Rachel enjoys her recreational moments by exploring new places in ATL, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Tempie Ennis, MS, OTR/L

After earning her Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Tempie completed her Level II fieldwork in Rome, GA, at Advanced for Kids. 

There, she evaluated and treated children with a variety of conditions including Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, and sensory processing disorders.

In her free time, Tempie enjoys outdoor walks, reading, spending time with loved ones, and volunteering at her church.

Anna Hicks, MS, OTR/L

Anna utilizes diverse approaches like the DIR/Floortime Model, Zones of Regulation, and sensory integration, recognizing each child's uniqueness. She has worked with children with ADHD, Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and developmental delays. 

Outside work, Anna enjoys tennis, yoga, and spending time with her cat Hallie and husband. She is excited to join the team at Building Blocks Pediatrics.

Emalyn Brumby, MS, OTR/L

During her studies, Emalyn volunteered at Camp Alabama’s Special Camp for Children and Adults ( ASCCA) and The Horizons School, gaining valuable experience. She completed her Level II fieldwork at Emory and KidsPlay Therapy before working in outpatient pediatrics at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

With experience in Autism, Down Syndrome, and more, Emalyn is passionate about helping children thrive. 

In her leisure time, she enjoys traveling, lake outings with loved ones, and volunteering at GiGi's Playhouse.

Stephanie is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist, holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Master’s of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Florida.

During her time at the University of Florida, Stephanie pursued an independent study at UF’s Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD), deepening her understanding of working with children and families affected by Autism.

Trained extensively in the SCERTS  (Social Communication Emotional Regulation and Transactional Supports) model, she focuses on enhancing communication skills in children with Autism. With experience spanning ages 2 to 18, Stephanie specializes in various areas including articulation, fluency, language delays, Autism, and social skills. 

Outside of work, this native Floridian loves exploring Georgia, volunteering with the Junior League of Atlanta, and cheering for her favorite team, the Florida Gators.

Amanda van Staden, MS, CCC-SLP

Amanda van Staden M.S; CCC-SLP is a certified Speech Language Pathologist with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Georgia.

After earning her Bachelor's, she pursued her Masters in Communicative Disorders at the University of Alabama. During her studies, Amanda gained experience in early intervention, outpatient rehab, and public schools. Back in Atlanta, she worked with students with various speech and language disorders, orthopedic impairments, and Autism Spectrum Disorder in schools and clinics.

Certified in the Beckman Oral Motor Evaluation and The Lidcombe Program, she focuses on developmental language delays, articulation disorders, and fluency issues.

When at leisure, Amanda enjoys outdoor activities with her dogs and supporting her favorite sports teams.

Alisha Kukreja, M.S., CCC-SLP

Megan Washburn, PT, DPT

Megan's extensive experience spans treating patients aged 0-21 with diverse diagnoses, including cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, and developmental delay, across hospital, clinic, and home settings. Committed to pediatric care, Megan collaborates closely with patients and families to achieve their goals. 

Her hobbies are baking, jogging, and spending time with her husband and three children.
